Zeelst, you won't want to leave

Nice, after my divorce in 2015, I was well taken care of, because Zeelst has many cafés, I know some owners and they kept an eye out for living space. Eventually through them I got a converted office. They kept an eye on me, neighbours are pleasant... eventually through urgency I got a home, again in this neighbourhood... I live here very pleasantly and feel quite safe. Strips of green are well maintained and I'm close to a park

Nice but not safe

I don't feel safe walking on the street because I'm afraid of running into people I've had problems with. I do have a nice street and house.

Frequently asked questions

About Kruisstraat 118, Veldhoven

Is €879,000 a fair price for this detached home?

The asking price is 31% above the neighbourhood average of €669,029, but this home is also 29% larger than average (190 m² vs 147 m²). Detached homes in Zeelst are rare, and the large plot adds value. It's on the high side, but the size and type justify the premium.

What is the energy label and what does it mean?

The home has energy label C, which is average for a 1930s house. You can expect reasonable energy costs, but improvements like better insulation could lower them further. In the neighbourhood, 36% of homes have label A, so this one is slightly less efficient than the newer stock.

How safe is Zeelst?

Residents have mixed views. One says they feel safe and enjoy the green spaces, while another mentions not feeling safe on the street due to past conflicts. The neighbourhood recorded 127 crimes in the latest data, which is moderate for an area of this size.

What schools are nearby?

The closest primary school, Rooms Katholieke Basisschool Zeelsterhof, is just 647 m away. Other options include Basisschool 't Slingertouw (1.2 km) and Kindcentrum Theresia (1.5 km). For secondary education, the nearest school is 3.6 km away.

How far is the train station?

The nearest train station is 5.2 km from the home. That's about a 10-minute drive or a 20-minute bike ride.

What is the garden like?

The plot is 616 m², which is large for a detached home in this area. While the listing doesn't specify a garden, the size suggests plenty of outdoor space.
