Quiet neighbourhood with all the amenities nearby

All necessary amenities within walking distance of both bustle and tranquillity. (Shops, museums and nature). Plenty of choice in eateries and sufficient activities or events. There are enough patrols by police and community wardens, quite a few primary schools in the city centre and sufficient choice of secondary education in the suburbs. A beautiful location with city walls, monuments and parks in the suburbs. For the rest, plenty of shops and a weekly market in the centre and shopping centres in the suburbs. Easily accessible due to the central location in the country thanks to the motorway junction. In addition, a train and bus station and also accessible by water via the ferry services.

My experience with the neighbourhood is good, I've only been living here for 3 weeks but I'm extremely pleased.

No community centre. Not much to do for ages 60-70.

I've lived here for about 4 years, and was one of the first houses to be built. There are many young families in the neighbourhood, which makes it always lively at the playgrounds. It's generally quite clean when you look around, even though there aren't that many bins. The layout of the area can be confusing for some, but if you live there yourself it's manageable. I'm less happy about the new houses that have been/are being built, as they don't really fit the neighbourhood profile with, among other things, green houses. Speaking of green, there aren't many plants or patches with trees; that could be a bit better. For the rest, there's nothing negative to say about Hoog Dalem; we have a school, a shopping centre, a church, apartment complexes, restaurants and a beautiful neighbourhood. Nothing to complain about!

Lots of litter every day at the underground bins. I report it regularly. Haarwijk is often a mess because of litter.

I think where I live is a nice and beautiful neighbourhood, but I regret that there is so little green, and more rubbish bins would also be handy. I find the education around Gorinchem only mediocre (in my experience at least) and this could be a lot better.
