A close-knit, safe neighbourhood, great for families

We've lived here for ten years and have always enjoyed it. Public transport connects to both Kralingse Zoom (bus) and Centraal (tram), and amenities are a five-minute bike ride away. The neighbourhood feels safe for a family with two girls who grew up here / came home late, etc. Also during their student days, coming and going from the city. There are annual neighbourhood barbecues, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's, etc. If there's something to celebrate or someone is having a tough time, you notice the neighbourhood is there for you; there's always a card in the mailbox.
