Frequently asked questions

About St Rochushofje 18, Eindhoven

Is €743 a fair rent for this studio?

Yes, it's very competitive. The average rent in the Rochusbuurt is €1,996, so this studio is 63% below that. It's also a social housing property, which explains the low price. Given the central location and the fact that homes in this neighbourhood rent out in an average of 21 days, it's likely to attract interest quickly.

What is the energy label and what does it mean?

The energy label is B, which is an official registration from EP-Online. Label B is quite efficient, so you can expect reasonable energy costs. The label doesn't tell you about the specific insulation or heating system, but it's a good starting point.

How is the public transport connection?

The nearest train station is 2.2 km away, which is about a 25-minute walk or a short bike ride.

What is the neighbourhood like for daily shopping?

Excellent. The Jumbo supermarket is just 43 metres away, so you can pop out for bread and milk in seconds. Ekoplaza is 371 metres away, and Albert Heijn is 657 metres. There are also many restaurants within walking distance (the nearest is 300 m).

Is this a quiet street?

The Rochusbuurt is a central, urban area with a high address density, so it's lively rather than quiet. The street itself is a hofje (courtyard), which may offer some peace, but you'll be surrounded by the buzz of the city centre.

How long does it take to rent a home in this neighbourhood?

On average, homes in the Rochusbuurt are rented out within 21 days. That's a fast market, so if you're interested, it's worth acting promptly. The low rent of this studio makes it even more likely to go quickly.

Excellent neighbourhood, living here since 1994

I've lived here since 1994 and don't want to leave for as long as my life allows. The living comfort is sublime, and in summer you feel like you're in Italy or Greece because of the white houses. It's fairly safe to live here; there's neighbourhood watch and residents keep a close eye on everything. It's a great privilege to live here. All shops and healthcare facilities are within walking distance, as is the centre of Eindhoven. I want to keep living here!!!

Fine

I've known this neighbourhood in Eindhoven for a while, but I've been living here myself for a few months now. I moved here from a less pleasant area and the difference is noticeable. Apart from occasional nuisance from motorbikes and partying people from Stratum, this neighbourhood is really great. Lots of greenery, close to the station and the Jumbo, it's very nice.

Beautiful

I think the neighbourhood is beautiful because it is very green. There is also one very nice playground with a dog poo field and a log cabin with fun activities.
