I've been living in Nieuwerkerk for 4 years now. I enjoy walking and buying food at the Reigerhof. What I do notice is that Nieuwerkerk is a place for white people. The white privilege is insane, but as soon as you bring your brown boyfriend to your house, you get stared at a bit strangely as if something shady is going on. Now I am white myself and I do fit in here a bit, but the general inclusivity could use some improvement.
