Rental homes in Griffioen II, Middelburg

I have lived here since 1974 to my full satisfaction. It is a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood with lots of greenery and sufficient amenities such as schools and play facilities for children. There is an Aldi, a baker, a snack bar, a hairdresser and a beautician. There are also two retirement homes.

We have lived in this nice neighbourhood since 1974. Always with great pleasure. Until a few years ago, there was an active, pleasant neighbourhood association here that always organised nice activities. I myself ran a very cosy craft group there for many years on Wednesday afternoons for the children from the neighbourhood. Always done with great pleasure.

Living here is pleasant and quiet. There is a lot of greenery and space here, and Speelhof Hoogerzael is fun for the children, very practical and suitable for all ages. There are also good schools. My children, grandchildren and now even great-grandchildren have attended school here. Until a few years ago, there was an exceptionally active neighbourhood association. Unfortunately, it has now been dissolved. It had to 'rejuvenate'. That was not a success. The work was severely underestimated by the young people 'who would just take care of it', and within no time the best neighbourhood association in Middelburg was defunct. The grandparents (fairly young) weren't doing so badly. In the days with good, decisive volunteers and a board, it ran like a well-oiled machine.
