The neighbourhood has a distinct new-build character: spacious plots, wide streets, plenty of greenery between the homes, and a clear layout. Residents give the neighbourhood an overall score of 8.1 out of 10, and for good reason. Greenery and beauty even score a 9, which you immediately understand when cycling through the district: there are many parks, the streets are well-maintained, and there are playgrounds for children scattered throughout the neighbourhood.

E.M.M., a resident who has lived in Steinvoorde for over ten years, describes it aptly: "Nice new-build neighbourhood, lots of families. We have a nice petting zoo and 3 primary schools make it a centre for many families." Those three primary schools are a concrete advantage for families with school-age children. The petting zoo provides an additional low-threshold meeting place in the neighbourhood. Combine that with a supermarket within walking distance and you understand why Facilities also scores a 9.

Accessibility is rated well (8.0). Steinvoorde is located in Colmschate, on the eastern side of Deventer, with a direct connection via the N348 towards the centre and the A1/A348 for those travelling further towards Apeldoorn or Zutphen. Nice new-build neighbourhood, lots of families.

I don't have much contact with the neighbours, but I work as a cashier in the supermarket we have here, so I do come into contact with many people in the neighbourhood. I've lived here for over 10 years and we have a nice petting zoo. 3 primary schools make it a hub for many families. It's usually quiet here, but unfortunately the youth on fatbikes cause regular nuisance.
