Living pleasure.

Nice neighbourhood to live in, close to the centre, the dike and the ferry to Texel. In the past, at the end of the street there was the very cosy nightlife area, which has moved to another location. Now it's much less cosy and there are far fewer pubs than before. In the part where I live, neighbours take in packages for each other. We also have nice neighbours with whom we get along well. When we go on holiday or away for the weekend, they look after our 3 cats, and vice versa. We help each other, and I think that's very important for a pleasant living environment.

The asking price of €239,500 is in line with the market for a 70 m² terraced house in Oostsloot. The home has an energy label B, which is efficient, and the location near the centre and ferry adds to its appeal. Without comparable sales data for the immediate area, it's hard to say if it's a bargain, but it's not overpriced for the size and age.

What is the energy label and what does it mean?

The energy label is B, which means the home is reasonably energy-efficient. You can expect lower heating costs compared to older homes with labels E, F or G. The house was built in 1898, so the label B suggests it has been well insulated or modernised.

How far is the train station?

The train station is 1 km away, which is about a ten-minute walk. That makes it easy to travel to other cities without needing a car.
