I think my neighbourhood is good in terms of my experience because all primary facilities like supermarkets, dentists or hospitals are just in the neighbourhood and easily accessible. Based on the people, I find it mediocre because some can be quite antisocial, for example they throw their rubbish everywhere, but there are still good ones among them. Lastly, waste management is fine, apart from the fact that rubbish is regularly thrown on the street, it is cleaned up by garbage men, but it would be good if street sweepers came more often because otherwise it keeps piling up.

Safety

Safety could be a bit better, lots of junkies and men displaying dangerous behaviour, especially at the gate and towards the arena.. very unfortunate as a woman or young child who just wants to play or get something to eat. Many homeless people use the public water fountains, which is not a problem at all, but given the fact that they probably don't shower or wash their hands, it's not exactly hygienic to make direct contact with the tap with your face or hands..

Frequently asked questions

About Bijlmerdreef 502, Amsterdam

Is €475,000 a fair price for this apartment?

The asking price of €475,000 is below the average sale price in the F-buurt (€542,328) and the median (€550,000). Given the 90 m² floor area, that works out to about €5,278 per m², which is slightly above the neighbourhood average of €4,830 per m². So the price is competitive for the size, but the total is lower than many other homes in the area.

What is the energy label and what does it mean?

This apartment has energy label A, which is very efficient. In the F-buurt, 68.8% of homes have label A and 18.8% have A+. That means you can expect relatively low energy costs compared to older homes with lower labels.

How is public transport in the F-buurt?

The nearest train station is 1.4 km away, about a 15-minute walk. The high address density (4640 per km²) indicates a very urban setting with frequent public transport options.

What are the neighbours like?

Based on two reviews, opinions are mixed. One resident finds the neighbourhood inclusive with good facilities, but notes that some people can be antisocial, leaving rubbish around. Another review mentions safety issues, particularly around the arena. The area has a mix of families (670 households with children) and singles (1290 one-person households).

How far are schools and shops?

The Shri Laksmi primary school is 178 m away, and TASC Amsterdam secondary school is 433 m. For groceries, Albert Heijn is 198 m, Vomar 272 m, and Lidl 546 m. A GP is 400 m away, and a park is just 200 m from the door.

Is the neighbourhood safe?

The total number of crimes recorded in the area is 150, but without context it's hard to judge. One resident says safety could be better, mentioning "lots of junkies and men displaying dangerous behaviour." Another review is more positive about facilities but less so about social behaviour. It's a mixed picture.
