You can do your grocery shopping at the Jumbo on Stationsstraat or the Albert Heijn on Doelenplein, both within a five-minute walk. On the Hoogstraat and in the side streets you will find specialist shops, hairdressers, a pharmacy and the weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is plenty of dining and drinking: from eetcafés and pizzerias to the terraces on the Markt. For education, there are primary schools such as De Tarthorst and Pantarijn (secondary education) within cycling distance. Sports and recreation: swimming pool De Bongerd is nearby on the campus, and via the floodplains you can walk into nature along the Rhine within ten minutes.
