A fantastic living experience. It's no wonder it's one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in Middelburg. Centrally located relative to the city centre and various main roads, with a supermarket within walking distance. A characteristic neighbourhood with almost exclusively owner-occupied homes and plenty of greenery. Ideal for a family because of the many schools. Not a cheap neighbourhood, but that is reflected in the appearance. The gardens and driveways look neat and well-maintained, and the municipality regularly maintains the green spaces. More than enough parking spaces, also for visitors. Many houses have their own driveway. The municipality is about to start a complete renovation of the public spaces through a climate-adaptive redesign with extra attention to greenery.

Especially three old men do a lot of gossiping and decide whether I could smoke in my own house, whether I could have cats, and there is a lot of nagging and backbiting. I was also more or less bullied away. When I first moved here as a "youngster," I volunteered for others, but when I had a severe stroke 6 months ago, they literally stood by and watched. Since then, I have lost trust in the fellow residents here.

Amazing neighbourhood where I grew up and where it's very pleasant to live. Everything is nearby and close to the historic city centre.
