I've lived here for a few years now, but what a great neighbourhood, a quiet village with 1900 inhabitants, everyone knows each other and says hello. They are always there for you if you need help with anything and everything. The village has a butcher, baker, football club, primary school, village hall, kaats club, tennis club with 2 courts. All sorts of things are organised in the village hall, from volleyball tournaments to youth boules competitions. Living here as a family is ideal, children can play outside safely, there are plenty of playgrounds. Everyone knows each other, so if something happens, there is always someone nearby you know who can help. Because we are a small village, there are also few cars, so children can walk, cycle, etc. safely and responsibly through the village. Once a year there is a village festival where everyone comes together, one big party with various activities, very cosy! Only occasionally trouble with some rowdy youth, especially around New Year's Eve, things get blown up in the village with illegal fireworks. But well, that's what you get when the government bans everything, you can easily get hold of illegal fireworks. Apart from that, the youth don't harm anyone or anything and are also very friendly. If you want to go to the supermarket, you have to go 6 km further to do your shopping because we don't have a supermarket. As said before, only a butcher and baker who are of very good quality and still do everything by hand. So you have to make sure you have everything in the house, but if you forget something, you can always ask the neighbours if you can borrow something. Primary school is also absolutely fine, nice headteacher and nice teachers, a good mix of experienced teachers and young enthusiastic teachers. In the village there is also a lot of greenery, many trees and even a small forest with a 1 km long path. With a view of the countryside where you can see up to 15 km and enjoy the peace and quiet. The municipality also puts a lot of work into the greenery because regular maintenance is carried out throughout the forest. Hygiene is also very good in the village, you see little litter or plastic lying around on the streets. There are many bins along the roads and playgrounds. The residents themselves are also alert; if they see litter lying around, they pick it up and throw it away. All in all, a very pleasant, friendly and child-friendly neighbourhood where you can grow up as a family in peace and safety. A real village where everyone helps each other.

Lovely village with people who are there for you when needed :)

It's nice living here but there are few amenities and public transport is also poorly arranged. Fortunately, I'm not dependent on it, but for other villagers it can be a puzzle to get somewhere.
