We have a cosy neighbourhood with a nice collaboration during, among other things, the village festival or other activities. There are few amenities in the village, but you can find them at a distance of about 4 kilometres. In Niawier there is a kaats association, church, village hall, animal pasture and the small harbour. The school is in the neighbouring village Oosternijkerk, so children have to cycle a kilometre every morning. At the crossing of the main road, cars are parked every morning to ensure this is done safely. Various activities are also organised in the village to bring everyone together. In short, a cosy village atmosphere!
