The area was largely built from 2018 onwards and consists almost entirely of modern apartment complexes, ranging from four to eight storeys. By car, you are quickly on the A4 and A5, making commuting to Amsterdam, Haarlem or Leiden easy. Parking in the area is partly solved with indoor garages at the new-build complexes, but those who do not rent a parking space can park on the street for a fee. Cycle paths towards the centre of Hoofddorp and along the Toolenburgerplas are well maintained.
