Beautiful neighbourhood, poorly accessible

We live in a beautiful neighbourhood, we have a lovely park and a great secondary school nearby. The only downside is that the neighbourhood is very poorly accessible; from my house, the nearest bus stop is a 15-20 minute walk away, and it takes a long time to get to Groningen or Emmen where you can easily catch a train to the rest of the Netherlands. It would be great for us Parkwijk residents if the Nedersaksenlijn were built, so that our neighbourhood and the rest of Stadskanaal would be much better connected to the rest of the Netherlands.
