Nice neighbourhood

Nice neighbourhood to live in, but not safe; in a 30 km zone they drive through the street at 85 km and nothing is done about it. Our fire escape is so dark in the evening that you feel unsafe because you can't see if someone is walking or looking inside. Most residents would like lighting on the path for safety. Because they no longer dare to go into the garden in the evening. Regards Sandra

Frequently asked questions

About Geverikerstraat 101, Beek

Is €599,000 a fair price for this detached house?

The price is in line with the market for detached houses in Beek. With 268 m² of living space, a 645 m² plot, and an A energy label from 1994, it represents a solid family home. The neighbourhood has few comparable listings, so the price reflects the size and quality of the property.

What is the energy label and what does it mean?

The home has an energy label A, which is very efficient. This means heating costs are relatively low and the home is well-insulated. Built in 1994, it likely meets modern standards for energy performance.

How safe is the Geverik neighbourhood?

One resident reports safety concerns: cars speeding in the 30 km zone and a dark fire escape path that feels unsafe in the evening. The total number of recorded crimes in the neighbourhood is 9, which is low, but the resident's experience suggests traffic and lighting issues.

What amenities are nearby?

The nearest supermarket is Jumbo at 1.3 km, with PLUS at 1.7 km. Primary schools include Basisschool Ondersteboven (1.6 km) and Basisschool de Triangel (2.4 km). A restaurant is 300 m away, and a park is 400 m. The train station is 2.5 km from the home.

How big is the plot and garden?

The plot measures 645 m². The listing does not specify a garden, but the plot size suggests ample outdoor space around the house.

Is this home suitable for a family?

With 268 m² of floor area, five or more bedrooms are likely (though not stated), and the neighbourhood has many families. The large plot and quiet location make it a good fit for family life, though you would need to check the exact layout with the agent.
